These Terms & Conditions of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, form a legally binding agreement between "you" (the customer) and "us" (GC Gas Struts). By using this website or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our website or services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in place at the time of your order will apply.

1. Ordering

By placing an order, you confirm you are the cardholder or have permission to use the card. Orders will only be accepted for delivery within Australia. No payment is processed until your order is ready for dispatch. We reserve the right to reject or cancel any order at our discretion and will issue a full refund if this occurs.

2. Product Availability

All items displayed on our website are offered in good faith but may become unavailable without notice. In the event we cannot fulfil your exact order, we may substitute the product with a gas strut, bracket, or end fitting of equal or higher specification. If more than two substitutions are required, we will contact you before shipping.

3. Delivery

GC Gas Struts delivers Australia-wide. Orders are generally processed within 2–5 business days, but delivery times will vary based on your location, stock levels, and courier network.

You will receive tracking details once your order has been dispatched.
Ownership transfers to you once full payment has been received and delivery is made. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, we will replace the item or issue a refund if it cannot be resent within 7 business days.

A re-delivery fee may apply if your parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address or missed delivery.

4. Installation Disclaimer

Gas struts must be installed correctly to perform safely and effectively. GC Gas Struts is not liable for injuries, damage, or faults resulting from improper installation. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • All installation is at your own risk

  • We are not responsible for failures caused by incorrect mounting locations, unsuitable fasteners, over-extension, or over-compression

  • We do not install products unless previously arranged in writing

  • Installation advice provided verbally or via email is general and must be verified by a qualified installer

5. No Returns Policy

Due to the nature of gas struts, we do not accept returns once the product has been pressurised or installed. This policy ensures safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect ordering once the item has been dispatched.
If we make a genuine mistake (e.g. shipping the wrong product), we will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.

6. Warranty

GC Gas Struts provides a 2-year warranty on all products against manufacturing defects and workmanship issues. This warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse or abuse of the strut

  • Incorrect installation or alignment

  • Surface corrosion caused by harsh environments

  • Side-loading or bending of the shaft

  • Ball studs breaking from overloading or impact

  • Re-gassing or tampering by unauthorised parties

If a product fails under warranty, we may request inspection or return. We will repair, replace, or refund the item at our discretion.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GC Gas Struts shall not be liable for any:

  • Personal injury or property damage

  • Loss of profits, data, or business

  • Indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our website or products

  • Damage caused by third-party installations or misinterpretation of advice

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at AU$50 per order.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GC Gas Struts, its employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, losses, expenses, or liabilities arising from:

  • Improper use or installation of our products

  • Breach of these Terms

  • Allowing an unauthorised person (including minors) to install or operate the product

9. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to courier delays, weather, supply chain disruptions, or government restrictions. If your order is affected, we will notify you and offer a reasonable alternative, refund, or cancellation.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including images, branding, layout, text, and product data — is the property of GC Gas Struts and is protected under copyright law. You may not copy, modify, republish, or distribute any part of our site without written permission.

11. Website Accuracy

We make every effort to keep product information up to date. However, specifications and stock availability may change without notice. We are not liable for typographical errors or outdated information.

12. Social Media & User Content

Comments or posts made on our social media pages are public. Please refrain from posting unlawful, misleading, or defamatory content. By posting, you grant us permission to repost or use your content for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the full agreement between you and GC Gas Struts for use of this website and purchase of our products. No verbal or written communication outside of this document will override these Terms.
